Garbage Bag

Choosing the Right Garbage Bag

Never have a garbage liner that's too small, large, or thin for your needs. Dispose of items conveniently and without fuss by having a bag that fits your bin perfectly. Selecting the right garbage bag starts with knowing the dimensions needed based on the trash bin.

Follow the guide below to learn how to measure for the right liner.

Dimensions

Dimensions

Bag Length

To determine the trash bag length, add the bin's height, half of the diameter, and a few extra inches for overhang.

Bag Width

To calculate the width of the bag needed, measure the circumference or perimeter of the bin and divide it by two.

Bag Thickness

The thickness of the liner is a crucial factor to consider depending on the type of waste disposed. High-density bags, measured in microns, are lightweight and thin. Low-density liners, in mils, are robust and puncture-resistant.
